1. You're leaving for a 5+ hour road trip. Choose one album to serve as the soundtrack and explain why:

I'd listen to 'Wasting Light' by the Foo Fighters mainly so I could imagine that I was Lemmy driving the limo in the ``White Limo`` video.

2. You've entered a sandcastle building contest and can choose one public figure to assist you. Who will it be and why?

Johnny Cash. I don't really care to build the sandcastle, but I'd love to hear his perspective on today's current events.

3. You're cooking for an entire day. What three meals do you make?

I'm a calorie counter, but if this is pie-in-the-sky, fantasy cooking, then we're throwing calories out the window here.

Breakfast - Eggs, pancakes, yogurt, and oatmeal.
Lunch - A turkey sandwich with sweet potato fries. Maybe some soup.
Dinner - My favorite meal my mom makes for me: Roast, carrots, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, and homemade noodles. For dessert, a cheesecake or pie.

4. Name your favorite place in the world and explain why:

Wherever home is—whether it's my apartment or my parents' place where I grew up—because I'm a homebody, and because I'm usually with the people I care about the most. Outside of those two places, my favorite place is anywhere in the world there is live professional wrestling.

5. What TV show, movie, or book is everyone else sleeping on? Explain why:

'The Man In The High Castle' based on the book of the same name. I don't watch much TV, but nobody I've talked to watches this show on Amazon Prime.

1. You're leaving for a 5+ hour road trip. Choose one album to serve as the soundtrack and explain why:

So, this one is a tough one. If it's summer, I'm choosing Led Zeppelin IV. The thundering drums, soaring vocals, and straight-ahead rock would be the perfect partner for the windows being down. In the fall, I'd say, ``Half the City`` by St Paul and the Broken Bones. It is the perfect mix of burning old soul and that dirty 60's R&B with a band that is on fire and vocals that are distinct and piercing. Of course, anyone that knows me, knows that winter is the season for Christmas music. So, my Bing Crosby Christmas album would help take my sleigh on to the next town.

2. You've entered a sandcastle building contest and can choose one public figure to assist you. Who will it be and why?

Well, I hate the sand at the beach, so, I don't know who I'd torture with that. I'd say Ryan Reynolds, if I'm stuck at the beach, I might as well get some laughs in. Plus, he'd draw a big enough crowd that I could sneak away and take a nap on my beach blanket.

3. You're cooking for an entire day. What three meals do you make?

Breakfast: ground sausage, green peppers and mushrooms, with scrambled eggs cooked in it.

Lunch: A sandwich, of course. Ham, cheddar, pepper jack cheese, and a nice mustard.

Dinner: Cheese Tortellini with my Italian sausage red sauce and some nice garlic bread.

Bonus: If we're having such a good culinary day, let's make some chocolate chip cookies while we're at it.

4. Name your favorite place in the world and explain why:

With my family. They make any place the best place to be. The love of my wife and the joy of my children make even the most mundane places exciting (especially if you've met Avery, my youngest son).

5. What TV show, movie, or book is everyone else sleeping on? Explain why:

I don't know if they're sleeping on it, but The Orville is a great show. It has some really nice humor while making you care for the characters. It takes a few episodes to warm up, but when it does, it's really good

1. You're leaving for a 5+ hour road trip. Choose one album to serve as the soundtrack and explain why:

The Glitch Mob's Drink The Sea album, for two reasons, one it's lengthy so it'll last me a while, and two, it's the album I listened to on a road trip to Colorado with my Grandpa when I was 13, and that whole trip was probably my favorite memory.

2. You've entered a sandcastle building contest and can choose one public figure to assist you. Who will it be and why?

Bert Adams, sand castle-building legend and multi-time champion. I like to win 😉

3. You're cooking for an entire day. What three meals do you make?

For Breakfast, scrambled eggs with cheese, toast and a nicely brewed cappuccino. For Lunch, a nice light bowl of homemade vegetable soup, and for dinner, my favorite dish of all time, Chicken Parmesan with Angel Hair pasta, Steamed Broccoli, and Texas Toast.

4. Name your favorite place in the world and explain why:

The Cliffs of Moher in Liscannor, Ireland. Since I was a kid I've been in love with the idea of standing at the edge of those cliffs and drinking in the view of the sea as a storm rolls in. Most people dream of retiring to a beach in the Bahamas, but my dream is to live out my days in an old shack on the cliffs of Moher, sitting in a rocking chair smelling the rain.

5. What TV show, movie, or book is everyone else sleeping on? Explain why:

I feel like the Netflix series, Altered Carbon, didn't get enough praise. The unique and complex story-telling in that show combined with the Blade Runner-esque setting and stunning visual representation of a dystopian, technology-controlled, future is vastly underrated in today's entertainment climate.

1. You're leaving for a 5+ hour road trip. Choose one album to serve as the soundtrack and explain why:

Jurassic 5’s ‘Power in Numbers.’ It’s energetic, reflective, and hard-hitting all at once. The wordplay would keep me engaged and alert. The storytelling would give me something to think about during the drive.

2. You've entered a sandcastle building contest and can choose one public figure to assist you. Who will it be and why?

Bill Burr. One of my favorite stand-up comics, he’d add instant levity to the occasion and I’m usually at my most creative when I’m having fun. Whether we won or lost, everyone else would know that we were there.

3. You're cooking for an entire day. What three meals do you make?

Up first, black coffee and a breakfast burrito (with several salsa options). For lunch, a grilled burger and fresh cut fries. Dinner is going to be spaghetti with a side of fresh greens. I feel like that’s a versatile line-up for someone who can’t really cook.

4. Name your favorite place in the world and explain why:

The Rainforest Cafe (Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL). “Why” should be self-explanatory, but here it goes: animals, frequent storms that you can hide under the Magic Mushroom bar to stay safe from, more animals, soothing rainforest sounds, animals. It’s the perfect 90s rainforest-themed getaway for an afternoon or evening with friends.

5. What TV show, movie, or book is everyone else sleeping on? Explain why:

The Life and Times of Tim. It was an HBO show that ran for 3 glorious seasons. The animation is rudimentary, on purpose. It forces the viewer to lean in and pay close attention to the superb writing and voice work. It’s consistently hilarious.

1. You're leaving for a 5+ hour road trip. Choose one album to serve as the soundtrack and explain why:

This may be a throwback answer here, but I'd have to choose Ben Folds Five: Whatever And Ever Amen from 1997. This album has a wide variety of tempos and styles, which matches my driving habits perfectly.

2. You've entered a sandcastle building contest and can choose one public figure to assist you. Who will it be and why?

I'd probably bring along Beyonce to help. Not only does she know a thing or two about sandcastles, but you know that she travels with her entourage. That basically means that Queen Bey and I would be chillin' on the beach while her crew gets it done.

3. You're cooking for an entire day. What three meals do you make?

Breakfast: Homemade Donuts. They're a family tradition around the holidays.
Lunch: Grilled Brats & Burgers. Nothing says sunshine & relaxation like ballpark food.
Dinner: Tortellini Soup. What can I say... I love my soup.

4. Name your favorite place in the world and explain why:
Israel. When you grow up your whole life hearing the stories in the Bible, traveling to the holy land and experiencing the Word in the context that it was written is an unbelievable experience.

5. What book is everyone else sleeping on? Explain why:
H3 Leadership by Brad Lomenick. This book is a great, modern look at establishing leadership habits and looking at them through the lens of the 3 H's (Humble, Hungry, & Hustle)

1. You're leaving for a 5+ hour road trip. Choose one album to serve as the soundtrack and explain why:

The Heart of Everything by Within Temptation - It's my favorite album by my favorite band and I can't live without it. Most people in the USA have NO idea who Within Temptation is, but they are amazing! Trust me.

2. You've entered a sandcastle building contest and can choose one public figure to assist you. Who will it be and why?

Glenn Beck - He's funny, smart, wears his heart on his sleeve and values history more than anyone I have ever heard. His dedication to preserving items of history is truly admirable. Knowing history and the mistakes that were made by those that came before us prevents us from making the same mistakes in the future. I feel like our current society has forgotten that. I have no clue what his sandcastle building chops are, but I would very much enjoy the chat we could have while we were attempting to build one.

3. You're cooking for an entire day. What three meals do you make?

Pancakes, Bacon and Eggs
Tacos
Steak and Baked Potatoes
... and then pass out because I don't usually ever eat that much all in one day.

4. Name your favorite place in the world and explain why:

This is difficult because I'm not sure I have discovered my favorite place on the planet yet. I have much more travel and exploration I want to do in my life. But to date as long as I'm with my husband, who is without question my best friend, then that is my favorite place to be no matter where we are. And no, he didn't bribe me to say that.

5. What TV show, movie, or book is everyone else sleeping on? Explain why:

There's really 2 TV shows I think people are missing out on and they are VERY different.
The first is Turn. It is a series put out by AMC. It is a dramatization about the small group of spies that George Washington had during the Revolutionary War. They touch on all the spy tactics that they used that were way ahead of their time, like a human-powered paddle submarine, invisible ink, and messages passed with eggs. It highlights things you didn't learn in you US history classes in grade school.

Second, for those that are not easily offended, Letterkenny is the other. It's an adult only Canadians sitcom. It's outrageously inappropriately hysterical... if you are into that sort of thing. Watching Letterkenny is a fantastic stress reliever!

1. You're leaving for a 5+ hour road trip. Choose one album to serve as the soundtrack and explain why:

Currently ... Symphony X - Iconoclast ... it's not really a soundtrack as it is a mood setter. It's a powerful driving album with groove and grit. It's a great metal album.

2. You've entered a sandcastle building contest and can choose one public figure to assist you. Who will it be and why?

Fine Artist / Sculptor, Lonnie Stewart. I've worked with him before. He's fun, funny and an incredible sculptor. We would win. Hands down.

3. You're cooking for an entire day. What three meals do you make?

Pizza, Lasagna, Burrito.

4. Name your favorite place in the world and explain why:

On the road with my lady in the navigator seat, cranking music and traveling to new places.

5. What TV show, movie, or book is everyone else sleeping on? Explain why:

LetterKenny - TV Show
Troll hunter - Movie
Dead Snow 1 & 2 - Movie
No books. I don't care to read.
